Every customer is different, so every project is different.
Although we do work for clients all over the country, we’re able to meet face to face with many of our clients. We handle every one of our client’s jobs on a personal level, which translates to a cohesive product. We don’t outsource support- with Studio Tidal, you talk directly to the person who designs and codes your web site. This gives us tremendous flexibility in the services we are able to offer, and gives you a quicker resolution to your needs.
Our goal is to make good design relevant to all businesses. Good design isn’t a luxury, it’s an essential platform when interacting with people. Our services are priced competitively, but our attention to detail sets us apart. There is simply no substitute for good design.
We love design. We founded Studio Tidal to share our love of design.
Design is an incredibly powerful concept, and influences one’s choices, feelings, and convictions. Something as simple as the color of your logo, the style of your text, says a lot about your identity and operating philosophy. Studio Tidal was created to bring good, original design to everyone. We’re not about simply creating logos or websites, but about fine tuning your message. In the process, we work with you to capture your vision of your company and explain the evolution of the final product.

We’re Custom – We design every site to create a professional impression. Good design can be difficult to quantify- everyone’s definition of good design is a little different, and each client’s needs a design that matches the nature of their business. That’s why we don’t use templates, and hand-craft every one of our web sites, logos, and design work.
We’re Efficient – We don’t try to reinvent the wheel with every site. By combining open source resources with clever design, we’re able to give our clients solutions at a fraction of the price.
Typography is a little thing that makes a big difference in the overall look of your web site! Poor typography can make a web site look sloppy, poorly thought out, and serve to alienate your visitors.
Throughout all civilizations, color has taken on a symbolic meaning. In western society, colors such as red symbolize energy and courage, colors such as yellow represent happiness. When colors are paired, what they convey changes as well. Neutral colors, depending on their context, can indicate a sense of establishment and reliability, but can be paired in a way to show a sense of cutting edge sophistication. Bright colors grab attention, but can be used in a subtle manner as well.
Color plays an important part in setting the mood or tone of your web site, brochure, or flyer. With every client, we use color to communicate their mission, as well as their identity.
Color also must be balanced properly. As a customer, you may have a particular color you wish to use or associate with, but creating a proper design involves more than simply using those colors- properties such as lightness, saturation, and hue must also be considered.
Ever notice how some things simply “stick out” or don’t “look right?” Good design is all about proportion- A web site, logo, flyer, even t-shirt’s design all require proper proportions.
Template web sites can be a bad idea for this very reason. On a web site, it’s necessary that the site layout is proportional to the amount of content (words, images) on a page. If not, you might end up with a layout that looks too cluttered or looks to sparse. Our web sites are all designed to be unique to the content of each customer. The result is a product that is professional grade- something that communicates the integrity of a business.
Nobody likes waiting around for a web site to load. Overly complex formatting or poorly optimized images can be a barrier to accessing what’s important on your web site. When you have a web site professionally done with Studio Tidal, you can rest assured your final product is efficient and quick. We hand code our web sites and check for superfluous coding or unnecessarily large images so your visitors have an enjoyable browsing experience.
Trying to navigate an overly flashy web site filled with animations, distractions, or confusing design elements is a frustrating experience. Sure, they might have you saying “wow” at first, but they can soon turn into a distraction. Good design is about keeping things clean so your visitors can focus on the content that matters. Brevity is the soul of wit, and we’re all about witty design!
Web sites don’t come with an instruction manual, so it’s important your visitors understand how your site is laid out from the first moment it loads on their browser. Clear navigation, labels, and a consistent layout are vital for following human intuition in interfacing with a web site. We stress consistency and simplicity in all of our designs.
We’ve enjoyed working with every one of our clients. We are as proud of working with them as we hope they are with us. Wouldn’t you like to see your name added to this prestigious list?
